I have been a full-time GP for over 28 years, joining my current Practice in Gosport in November 1990.  I have decided that now is the time for me to retire from practise, and to pursue a long-held dream: in March 2019 I start a one year full-time boatbuilding course at the International Boatbuilding College, based in Boathouse 4, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.  I have set up this website and blog, partly to share something of my GP career and its completion; but mainly to share my experiences at the IBTC.  It’s going to be quite a change of course, a new tack, and I hope it is of some interest to friends, family and the occasional random visitor.
